SCULPTURAL MARQUETRIES EXPERIMENTS.

The ‘Écorces’ project, prior to the ‘Undulatus cabinet’,is an exploration of wooden veneers’ abilities to take shapes of three-dimensional templates, for exemple branches. Each surface acted differently depending on the volume they were pressed into, resulting in sculptural pieces with imperfections, just as in nature. The different surfaces were made to trigger an instinctive and enigmatic need to touch them, reminiscing impulsive behaviours when we explore nature.
